Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Data Center Engineer with extensive Electrical/Mechanical skills to join our team as a Chief Data Center Facilities Engineer. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of planned maintenance and corrective work in our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Uptime Management: Manage all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) towards customers to ensure 100% uptime for temperature, humidity, power, PUE/WUE, and other critical systems.
  2. Planned Maintenance: Ensure the safe and effective delivery of planned maintenance that meets all standards and procedures, leveraging competent contractor/vendor resources and maintaining quality.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Inform and brief the Manager of Operations on all planned and corrective work occurring in the data center, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  4. Customer-Focused Work: Plan and implement customer-requested work in a timely manner, keeping the customer and Manager of Operations informed on the status and details of the work.
  5. Equipment Maintenance: Plan and implement work on 1-line equipment according to the Planned Preventive Maintenance Schedule, ensuring approval from the Manager of Operations and/or nominated person in control of an electrical installation.
  6. Method of Procedure: Prepare detailed Method of Procedure to be approved by the Manager of Operations and/or nominated person in control of an electrical installation.
  7. Testing and Quality Assurance: Organize all testing of mission-critical equipment on the site, ensuring that all work is logged in systems and follows the approved Method of Procedure.
  8. Emergency Response: Respond to alarms, critical situations, and emergencies in a proper and timely manner, communicating clearly and in accordance with the emergency response plan.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Take initiative to ensure that quality and efficiency standards are raised for all equipment in the data center, identifying ways to deliver cost savings without sacrificing quality.
