About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as an Onboard Safety Critical Development Engineer through our Graduate Programme. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety-critical systems for our onboard computing platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop firmware and software requirements specifications for onboard safety-critical computing platforms.
  • Conduct hardware/firmware/software integration testing for onboard safety-critical computers developed within the AR domain.
  • Develop firmware DO-254 DAL A/B and software DO-178B/C DAL A/B for onboard computers developed under the responsibility of the Air Refuelling domain, and participate in its verification (testing, reviews, and analysis).
  • Share responsibility for the hardware and software certification process of such firmware in front of certification authorities to demonstrate compliance with RTCA DO-254 DAL A/B and RTCA DO-178B/C DAL A/B objectives.
  • Develop competences in the area of airborne artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics, taking advantage of research initiatives in the department for the development and certification of future airborne systems for coming Airbus programs.
Requirements
  • Education to a degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English).
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation and demonstrating adaptability.
  • Knowledge of Python and Matlab scripting, real-time operating systems, partitioning architectures, and ARINC653 standard.
  • Control systems theory, model-based design, continuous integration, and DevOps environments.
  • Git, Bitbucket, Agile frameworks, artificial intelligence theory and techniques, machine learning, data analytics, and computer vision.
