We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a Safety Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor site performance against set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop plans to improve processes
- Establish and implement workplace health and safety programs and arrange training sessions
- Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to inform resource allocation and risk mitigation strategies
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety laws and regulations
A Day in the Life
You will be based at one of our sortation centers, where you will work closely with colleagues to identify and mitigate risks. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe and healthy work environment, and you will be responsible for setting up training programs to ensure that all employees follow new safety processes.
About the Team
Our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of our employees and customers. We work closely with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and regulations. As a Safety Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about developing and implementing high safety and wellbeing standards.
Requirements
- Experience in Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies
