Job Overview

As a Safety Specialist at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our employees. You will be responsible for monitoring site performance, setting up workplace health and safety programs, and analyzing safety metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

* Monitor site performance against set KPIs and create plans to improve processes.
* Set up workplace health and safety programs and arrange training sessions.
* Analyze safety metrics and incident trends to help colleagues plan appropriate resources for areas with the highest risk.

A Day in the Life

You will be based on one of our sortation centers, where you will work closely with people across the business to identify risks and opportunities for improvement. You will also set up training and other programs to help everyone follow new safety processes and reach new standards.

About the Team

Our Workplace Health and Safety team plays a crucial role in keeping our employees mentally and physically well at work. We work with managers, associates, and local governments across our sites to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe. There are a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers.

Basic Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience of Lean, 5S, or Kaizen methodologies.
Experience of planning or managing environmentally conscious initiatives.
