Overview:
In a dynamic environment collaborating with leading OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), Bertrandt is engaged in development, conceptualization, advisory, and support in product safety, cybersecurity, Functional Safety (FuSa), safety of the intended function (SOTIF), as well as verification and validation processes.
The role involves evaluating various automotive projects to align with ISO 26262 standards, alongside supplier management tasks to assist our clientele. The integration of Bertrandt Technology Spain's expertise with vehicle manufacturers occurs throughout the development phase, either as a supportive function or as an independent task. Customer requirements are addressed collaboratively within a team, ensuring professional support and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Functional Safety Team on ongoing projects, commencing once the necessary knowledge is acquired.
- Participate in internal training focused on ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
- Contribute to the development of technical security frameworks.
- Draft requirements for safety-critical systems.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments, including FMEA and FTA within the automotive sector.
- Establish and adhere to security requirements derived from legal, regulatory, and technical standards.
- Validate security requirements and verify their implementation at both component and system levels.
- Provide customer support for safety-related inquiries from initial conception through to approval or certification.
Qualifications:
- Education: A completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Languages: Proficient in English (mandatory).
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required.
- Personal Attributes: Seeking a proactive and open-minded individual.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of safety technology engineering (fail-safe design, redundancy).
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, including hazard analyses and risk evaluations.
- A strong interest in technical risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
- Experience or interest in interpreting and understanding relevant standards.
- Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
