About the Role

Gilead Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Specialist to join our team in the oncology franchise. As a Therapeutic Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing patients and healthcare professionals access to innovative treatments, including our novel Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) for metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer (mTNBC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare business plans and account plans for your territory, aligned with local cancer alliance national brand plan priorities for mTNBC.
  • Identify and map patient referral journey pathways within the cancer alliances on your territory and facilitate patient access to treatment.
  • Responsible for achieving sales targets in assigned territory.
  • Work in partnership with Regional Market Access and Medical colleagues to ensure local access is in place for Gilead medicines.
  • Establish and develop business relationships with key customers, accounts, and relevant key opinion leaders.
  • Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
  • Represent the company at professional events and promote company products.
  • Work co-operatively with Gilead Medical Scientists, National Account Managers, Marketing, and Market Access on various cross-functional projects.
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, communicate proactively to Marketing and Sales management.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Passion for commercializing breakthrough medicines.
  • Strong competitive and commercial mindset.
  • Robust scientific acumen.
  • Patient and customer-centric approach.
  • Prior experience with solid tumors, especially in breast cancer.
  • Scientific degree in Sciences, Pharma, or similar.
  • Established contacts to relevant customers.
  • Excellent understanding of targeted therapies and personalized medicines.
  • Sound scientific expert knowledge and ability to stay on top of emerging data.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to lead and build working relationships.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders and communicate at C-level.
  • Proven expertise in building interpersonal relationships, influencing, and negotiating skills.
  • Proven experience in account planning and cross-functional account management approach.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence.
  • Familiarity with industry trends and competitors' resources and practices.
  • Solid analytical skills, ability to identify and understand complex issues.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Spanish native speaker with fluent English skills.
