Novartis is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Commercial IT Domain Architect specializing in Advanced Therapies within our IT division.

Role Purpose
The primary objective of this position is to establish the enterprise architecture framework for the Advanced Therapies sector, focusing on domain architecture standards and methodologies.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that strategic IT investments align with architectural principles in the Commercial Domain, guiding the design of project solution architectures that effectively address specific business and technical challenges.

Key Contributions
The Advanced Therapies Architect will significantly impact our objectives by taking responsibility for the overarching standards and strategic direction of architecture within the Commercial sector. Collaboration with fellow architects will be essential, as you support various definitions of Commercial architecture and share insights and best practices with other enterprise architects across IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and articulate diverse architectural perspectives (e.g., Application, Information) for the future state architecture within the Functional Domain. Ensure compliance with Security and Compliance policies in the solution architecture for the Commercial domain.
  • Guide domain solution architects and conduct necessary solution architecture evaluations, adhering to the governance established by Enterprise Architecture. Ensure that key solutions within the domain have documented architectures stored in a centralized repository managed by Architecture Governance.
  • Create roadmaps outlining the transition of the functional Domain's enterprise solution portfolios from their current state to a desired future state, integrating digital and data technology strategies into solution architecture design.
  • Utilize architecture standards, patterns, reference architectures, and other frameworks to develop the most suitable solution architecture that meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Assess solution architectures for their alignment and consistency with architectural standards throughout the solution lifecycle, and effectively communicate selected aspects of the Commercial architecture to relevant partner groups.
