Job Title: Director, NYU Madrid

NYU Madrid is seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Director of our academic center in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of the NYU leadership team, the Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight to ensure the success of our academic programs and operations in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to NYU Madrid's academic programs and operations
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve NYU's goals and objectives in Madrid
  • Oversee the management of academic programs, including faculty recruitment, curriculum development, and course selection
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and University policies
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local universities, vendors, and community partners
  • Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for students, faculty, and staff
Requirements:
  • PhD or terminal degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience in higher education administration
  • Proven track record of exceptional senior organizational/operational leadership experience
  • Experience in driving academic program development and improvements
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive work experience in a university setting, preferably as a scholar
  • Proven administrative and supervisory experience at a director level for at least 3 years
  • Experience in program development and expansion
