Job Title: Engineering Manager

As a key member of the Blacklane team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our products and driving innovation. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Vision and Product Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the technical vision and roadmap for our products. Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organization.
  • Craftsmanship and Delivery: Set high standards for software development practices, code quality, and delivery excellence. Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, prioritizing feature development and implementing agile methodologies.
  • People Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing software engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Conduct regular performance reviews and champion a culture of continuous learning and personal development.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in the Payments domain and/or with teams that worked on payments.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing software engineering teams in a fast-growing and changing environment.
  • Strong technical background with in-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, architecture, and design patterns.
  • Passion for driving technical innovation and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
