Business Development Manager

At ICON Clinical Plc, we're seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and contributing to our company's success.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Leverage in-depth market knowledge to attract clients within Government and Public Health target markets.
  • Conduct thorough research, pursue leads, and convert prospects into awarded contracts.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with Government, Commercial, and Global Health Sector clients.
  • Drive the marketing of ICON GPHS services by maintaining and expanding customer relationships.
  • Consistently meet or exceed annual new business sales targets through successful deal closures.
  • Identify, qualify, track, and pursue new business opportunities while monitoring competitors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to devise effective business capture strategies and support proposal development.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings to promote business opportunities and engage clients.
  • Maintain accurate data in ICON GPHS's CRM system, prepare reports, and contribute to marketing efforts.
Your Profile:

We're looking for a candidate with in-depth knowledge of Phases I-IV clinical development and contract research organization services, as well as scientific or technical services. Experience in successful business development is essential, with a preferred background within the Federal government, particularly in medical research and life sciences Agencies. A proven track record of new business capture, proposal development, and strategy development for Federal Government and global public health sectors is also required.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead discussions with diverse subject matter experts and decision-makers are essential. Competency in Salesforce or similar customer relationship management solutions is also a plus.
