Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead our business development efforts, focusing on acquiring donor-funded projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development, with a strong understanding of EU procedures and project cycle management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead early engagement activities for new business opportunities across developing countries, particularly in English and French-speaking regions.
  • Support the Senior BD Director in diversifying donors and clients, and contribute essential inputs to the business development process.
  • Ensure all key inputs comply with DAI's vetting rules and coordinate with the DAI EU implementation unit and other DAI units.
  • Prepare Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and build the value of key inputs identified prior to EOI submission.
  • Contribute to the recruitment of Key Experts and provide necessary information for budget preparation.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree in economics, public sector administration, sustainable development, international cooperation, business administration, or other related fields.
  • More than 5 years of experience in business development management, with recent experience of at least 3 years working with the EU.
  • Exceptional time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Proven track record in winning new business, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in French and/or Spanish, with a strong capacity to develop networks and learn new work processes.
  • Available to travel 25% of the time, with proficiency in MS Office.
