Job Title: Legal Associate - Customer Service

Job Summary:

Ryanair, Europe's largest airline group, is seeking a highly skilled Legal Associate to join its Customer Service Legal Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in protecting Ryanair's interests while ensuring compliance with EU Regulation 261/2004.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Customer Service Legal team in managing high-volume litigation related to disruptions in all jurisdictions where Ryanair operates.
  • Develop strategies to improve success rates of the in-house CS Legal team, working closely with CS Lawyers, Legal Associate Managers, and CS Legal Supervisors.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of passenger rights and relevant EU/national legislation.
  • Process and manage a large and varied caseload, complying with tight legal deadlines.
  • Foster constructive and collaborative relationships with colleagues and internal/external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with litigation experience.
  • Experience handling EU261-related matters is an advantage.
  • Understanding of consumer protection legislation, particularly at European level.
  • Pro-active, can-do attitude and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to learn quickly, show initiative, and cope with a large and varied caseload.
  • Exceptional organisation, planning, record-keeping, and communication skills.
  • Outstanding drafting and legal writing skills, attention to detail.
  • Full professional proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
