Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Associate to join our Customer Service Legal Team at Ryanair. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in protecting Ryanair's interests while complying with EU Regulation 261/2004.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage high-volume litigation brought as a result of disruptions in all jurisdictions where Ryanair operates.
  • Work closely with the CS Lawyers, Legal Associate Managers, and CS Legal Supervisors to develop strategies to improve success rates of our in-house CS Legal team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of passenger rights and relevant EU/national legislation.
  • Process and manage a large and varied caseload while complying with tight legal deadlines.
Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with litigation experience.
  • Experience handling EU261-related matters would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of consumer protection legislation, particularly at European level.
  • Pro-active, can-do attitude and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to learn quickly, show initiative, and cope with a large and varied caseload.
  • Exceptional organisation, planning, record-keeping, and communication skills.
  • Outstanding drafting and legal writing skills, attention to detail.
  • Full professional proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
  • Additional European languages would be highly-regarded.
  • Willingness to travel.
