About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, air passenger rights, and consumer law, with a passion for aviation. You will be responsible for effectively managing the processing of high-volume litigation brought as a result of disruptions in all jurisdictions where Ryanair operates.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the processing of high-volume litigation related to air passenger rights and consumer law
- Develop strategies to improve success rates of the in-house CS Legal team
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of passenger rights and relevant EU/national legislation
- Work closely with the CS Lawyers, Legal Associate Managers, and CS Legal Supervisors to achieve team goals
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with litigation experience
- Experience handling EU261-related matters is an advantage
- Understanding of consumer protection legislation, particularly at European level
- Pro-active, can-do attitude and ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to learn quickly, show initiative, and cope with a large and varied caseload
- Exceptional organisation, planning, record-keeping, and communication skills
- Full professional proficiency in German and English (written and spoken)
