Job Title: Legal Associate

Ryanair Holdings plc, Europe's largest airline group, is the parent company of Buzz, Lauda, Malta Air & Ryanair DAC. With over 154 million guests carried annually on more than 2,400 daily flights from 82 bases, the group connects over 200 destinations in 40 countries on a fleet of over 475 aircraft, with a further 210 Boeing 737's on order. This will enable the Ryanair Group to lower fares and grow traffic to 200 million passengers per annum by FY24.

About the Role

We are inviting applications for a Legal Associate to join the Customer Service Legal Team at Ryanair. The purpose of this position is to support Ryanair's Customer Service Legal team and the broader company in protecting Ryanair's interests while complying with our obligations under EU Regulation 261/2004.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Customer Service Legal team in managing high-volume litigation brought as a result of disruptions in all jurisdictions where Ryanair operates.
  • Work closely with the CS Lawyers, Legal Associate Managers, and CS Legal Supervisors in the development of strategies designed to improve success rates of our in-house CS Legal team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of passenger rights and relevant EU/national legislation.
  • Process and manage a large and varied caseload, while complying with tight legal deadlines.
Requirements
  • Qualified lawyer with litigation experience.
  • Experience handling EU261-related matters would be an advantage.
  • Understanding of consumer protection legislation, particularly at European level.
  • Pro-active, can-do attitude and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to learn quickly, show initiative, and cope with a large and varied caseload.
  • Exceptional organisation, planning, record-keeping, and communication skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in Danish and English (written and spoken). Additional European languages would be highly-regarded.
