Position Overview
The Engineering department is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing automation initiatives within the Engineering function across our sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive automation strategy that aligns with the company's objectives.
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of automation projects at the site.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize existing automation systems and processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for optimization and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance of all automation systems and processes with relevant regulations and industry standards, including FDA regulations and GxP guidelines.
- Assess potential risks associated with automation projects and formulate mitigation strategies.
- Manage budgets for automation initiatives, ensuring efficient and cost-effective resource allocation.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or Chemical) or a Master's degree in Engineering Management, Technical Management, or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical roles, including at least 3 years as an Automation Engineer and 2 years in Project Management.
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Expertise in the SIEMENS suite for SCADA systems; knowledge of DELTA V (EMERSON) is advantageous.
- A solid understanding of various engineering disciplines and their interrelations.
- Thorough knowledge of the qualification process (URS, FS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ).
- A strong focus on Process Safety in executing tasks.
- Demonstrated supervisory and technical capabilities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Strong organizational skills and experience in multicultural environments.
- Adeptness in risk management.
