About the Role

Olympus, a leading global technology company, is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Legal Specialist to join its team in Barcelona. As a key member of the Corporate Support department, you will play a critical role in supporting business and procurement operations by providing expert legal advice and guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Legal Expertise: Provide business partners with expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of business contracts, including distribution, supply agreements, loan agreements, rental agreements, marketing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and service agreements. Develop and improve processes to mitigate contractual risks, improve contract quality, and increase efficiency.
  2. Compliance and Risk Management: Act as a compliance advisor to management and staff, providing guidance and training on legal and compliance matters. Ensure compliance with Olympus' code of conduct and relevant laws and regulations. Design and implement compliance controls within the region, consistent with risk assessments and avoiding incoherencies or redundancies between programs.
Requirements
  1. Spanish Bachelor's degree in Law. Master's degree in Corporate/Commercial Law would be a plus.
  2. Excellent interpersonal, consulting, written, and verbal communication skills in business English.
  3. Significant experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector in a global corporate environment.
  4. Expertise in developing efficient contract templates, playbooks, and standard documents.
  5. Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate recommendations and options about complex legal issues.
  6. Demonstrated ability to recognize and weigh business and legal risks, lead strategically, and advance innovative solutions.
  7. Excellent presentation skills to deliver training programs to internal stakeholders.
  8. Self-motivated; thrives in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and can adjust workload based upon changing priorities and deadlines.
  9. A collaborative team player who takes ownership and embraces challenges.
