Zurich Insurance is on the lookout for exceptional professionals to enhance our Global AI Governance Team, focusing on the advancement of responsible AI practices. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the governance and implementation of AI technologies within the insurance sector, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of AI quality and ethical responsibility. Your efforts will contribute to the development of sustainable and innovative AI solutions tailored for insurance products and services.
Key Responsibilities
As an AI Compliance Specialist, your primary duties will encompass:
- Offering guidance and support for the application of Zurich's AI Governance Framework, which includes policies, processes, platforms, and tools across various business units and functions.
- Evaluating and addressing risks, such as algorithmic bias, in AI models and algorithms, particularly those involving LLM-based and GenAI technologies, throughout the insurance value chain.
- Collaborating with diverse, cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to both internal and external governance standards, including conducting audits from various perspectives.
- Promoting AI literacy and enhancing awareness of AI governance challenges and risks within the organization, including designing and facilitating training sessions for relevant stakeholders.
- Continuously refining and updating AI governance controls and GenAI safeguards, ensuring their integration into tools, systems, and platforms to foster automation and insights.
- Working closely with data scientists, computer scientists, ML engineers, architects, and stakeholders from business and assurance functions (risk/model risk, legal/privacy, compliance) to ensure consistent responsible AI practices across the organization.
- Keeping abreast of the latest regulatory changes and technological advancements in the GenAI landscape.

Required Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate for the AI Compliance Specialist role will possess:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with a solid understanding of AI/ML, data analytics, data governance, and the governance of emerging digital technologies.
- A background in data science or computer science, along with business analysis skills, including familiarity with MLOps.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI & PowerApps) to assist in designing technical solutions and ensuring compliance.
- A genuine interest in Responsible AI and digital sustainability, with a keen awareness of AI-related privacy issues and international regulatory developments.
- Strong communication abilities and integrated thinking across business functions to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders globally.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management capabilities, particularly in Agile and Lean methodologies.
- The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
