Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Director to lead our European onshore wind, solar, and battery operations. As a member of our Executive Committee, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technology strategies to accelerate growth, optimize value, and achieve a just transition to net zero.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy and Development
Develop and implement technology strategies to expand our European footprint and drive growth in line with our strategic objectives.
Asset ManagementOversee the integrated technology harnessing performance, strategy, and culture for our European assets, including Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and Poland, as well as new operations in the region.
Project Origination and DeliveryOriginate, develop, construct, deliver, and operate assets, providing sign-off on multi-million-pound devex and capex projects and driving operational performance to optimize commercial contribution.
Team LeadershipLead a team of circa 100 staff, contractors, and specialist consultants, shaping and aligning the team to achieve goals and develop a performance culture that ensures teams are motivated to improve processes, innovate, and develop their capability.
Operational Safety and HealthDrive operational safety, health, and wellbeing performance, embedding a safety-first culture that constructively challenges and praises behaviors.
Requirements
- Renewable Energy Expertise
Deep understanding of the renewables industry within European markets, including wind, solar, and battery technologies.
Project Development and LeadershipExperience of working in or supporting high-value, complex capital projects, including early-stage project development and navigating land, consents, and routes to market.
Leadership and Stakeholder ManagementStrong people leadership skills, significant experience in leading teams, projects, and programs, and excellent stakeholder management skills to drive delivery and ensure investments are fully optimized to deliver value.
Language SkillsFluency in Spanish and/or Italian, with the ability to do business in English, and regular travel requirements.
