About the Role

Thunes is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Strategy Associate to lead critical business initiatives that drive revenue growth and improve business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support senior leadership in developing and executing strategic plans to drive business growth and revenue acceleration.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business and market insights, and develop recommendations to leverage them for revenue growth.
  3. Develop and manage GTM plans for new segments and territories, including defining value propositions, sales channels, target prospect lists, objectives, and timelines.
  4. Build and maintain competitor intelligence databases and market models to inform business decisions.
  5. Design and execute targeted customer interview or survey programs to assess customer buying behavior, satisfaction, and expectations.
  6. Partner with the Revenue Operations function to communicate market and customer insights to commercial teams.
  7. Collaborate with Product, Network, Compliance, and Treasury teams to inform the future development of our value proposition to customers.
  8. Support the commercial team with development of proposals for strategic or complex deals.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or STEM-related fields preferred.
  2. 2-4 years of experience in a consulting, corporate finance, and/or strategy role.
  3. Highly analytical with ability to break down complex topics and digest large amounts of data.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly and concisely present ideas to a variety of audiences.
  5. Hard-working, proactive, and result-driven individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Passionate about using data to drive commercial strategy, preferably with a proven track record in project management.
  7. Commercially minded, always thinking about growth, profitability, and competition.
  8. A team player, who is able to work across teams and functions.
  9. Excellent proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and their Google Workspace alternatives.
  10. Experience in or exposure to B2B business models.
  11. Industry experience in FinTech, Payments, or Financial Services is a plus.
  12. Fluency in English (speak, read, and write) is essential, and additional language skills are advantageous.
