Ancillary Pricing Specialist Job Description

About the Role:

Vueling is seeking a highly skilled Ancillary Pricing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our revenue growth team, you will be responsible for utilizing data to maximize revenue for our diverse portfolio of ancillary products, while mitigating costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Optimization: Develop and implement next-generation price optimization models and support analytics to drive revenue growth.
  • Data Analysis: Synthesize disparate data to maximize the performance of á la carte and bundle products, including analyzing pricing structures, identifying patterns and trends, and performing frequent analysis on pricing elasticity.
  • Collaboration: Work with members of the ancillary product, revenue management, data science, digital, and distribution teams to continue executing on ancillary growth for the airline.
  • Reporting and Insights: Provide ongoing analytical reporting and distillation of key results for commercial teams and leadership.

Requirements:

  • Education: Undergraduate degree in statistics, mathematics, finance, economics, operations research, computer science, or a combination of the above.
  • Experience: 2 years' experience in the airline/travel industry, within revenue or commercial related functions, with demonstrated understanding of economics and airline commercial metrics.
  • Skills: Experience in exploratory data analysis, time-series analysis, and forecasting methods, with proficiency in machine learning techniques, SQL, Python, JSON, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
