About the Role

The Freight and Customs department at Werfen is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented trainee to support the team in ensuring the smooth operation of our Distribution Centers. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for updating and controlling transport data, reviewing and allocating transport costs, and coordinating Iberian transport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update and control transport data in SAP, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and allocate transport costs to maximize service levels within approved budgets.
  • Coordinate Iberian transport, including direct contact with carriers, couriers, and forwarders.
  • Solve incidences and issues related to deliveries, customs, or national transport matters.
  • Align with other departments to ensure on-time delivery to customers and Distribution Centers.
  • Interact with Distribution, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, and QA teams to ensure seamless communication.
  • Update material master with Customs information.
  • Contribute to projects and provide creative insights to improve processes.

Requirements

  • Education: Studying a career or education cycle related to Logistics, Supply Chain, Customs, or Administration.
  • Experience: Not necessary.

Additional Skills/Knowledge

  • Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables).
  • Knowledge in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Acumen of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Tracking and tracing shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Resolving transportation complaints and incidents.
  • Analyzing shipping quotes (air, sea, or inland).
