We are seeking a highly skilled Science Education Specialist to join our team at the European Space Agency. As a key member of our Science Communication and Education Section, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing our education initiatives, including the CESAR program. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement educational activities that promote space science and astronomy among various stakeholders, including schools, universities, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate CESAR efforts with our main partners and the ESA Education Office
  • Develop educational materials for astronomy, heliophysics, and planetary science
  • Manage and develop regular CESAR training opportunities for school teachers
  • Oversee and participate in educational events, such as video-conferences and remote operations of CESAR educational telescopes
  • Ensure optimal access to educational resources through the CESAR website
Requirements
  • Experience in space science and science communication
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in managing contracts
  • Result orientation, operational efficiency, fostering cooperation, relationship management, continuous improvement, and forward thinking
Education

A master's degree in a relevant domain is required for this post. Additionally, an advanced level in Spanish is necessary, equivalent to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages CEFR level of C1 or C2.
