The European Space Agency is seeking a highly skilled Science Education Specialist and Communication Coordinator to join its Science Communication and Education Section. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in defining and implementing the Communication and Education Strategy for the Science Directorate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the CESAR education initiative, which aims to promote and develop educational activities in Spain and Europe. This will involve working closely with partners, including the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA) and the Ingeniería de Sistemas para la Defensa de España, S.A. (ISDEFE), to develop educational materials, manage contracts, and oversee educational events.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in space science and science communication, with experience in project management, contract management, and designing, developing, and delivering educational activities. A master's degree in a relevant domain is required, and an advanced level in Spanish is essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating CESAR efforts with partners and the ESA Education Office
- Developing educational materials for astronomy, heliophysics, and planetary science
- Managing and developing regular CESAR training opportunities for school teachers
- Overseeing and participating in educational events, such as video-conferences and remote operations of CESAR educational telescopes
- Ensuring optimal access to educational resources via the CESAR educational website
