About the Role:

This is a key position within Alpiq Spain, reporting directly to the Country Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and implementing the global Alpiq HR strategy in Spain, adapting it to local needs and requirements while maintaining global HR standards and principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement the HR strategy in Alpiq Spain, aligned with the HR Alpiq Group strategy, ensuring a consistent Employee Experience across the organization.
  • Manage, supervise, and/or execute all HR processes in Spain, including recruitment, training, development, compensation and benefits, labour relations, personnel administration, and internal communication.
  • Advise and support managers and employees in HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, as well as guide managers in leadership issues or difficult situations.
  • Identify internal customer needs, supporting and accompanying change processes, and lead negotiations with employee representatives and trade unions.
  • Manage and inspire the local HR team, actively participating in global HR projects and local development and implementation of Global HR processes.
  • Support and accompany Alpiq change processes, and perform other HR tasks and needs of the Country and Group.

Requirements:

  • University degree with further training in Human Resources.
  • 8+ years of previous experience in an international company and/or a matrix organization with generalist HR tasks.
  • Good expertise in Spanish labour law and expertise in Trade Unions negotiation.
  • Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented thinking, combining excellent client orientation with business focus.
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to motivate and encourage innovation and proactivity while challenging behaviours and attitudes that differ from Alpiq values.
  • High level of initiative, independence, and growth, thriving for excellence.
  • Able to apply concrete measures and initiatives while keeping in mind the global picture.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
