Job Title: Logistics Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistical activities by driving carrier and service provider performance through collaboration and coordination of processes, carriers, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and goals, and providing excellent customer service.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and address issues that may impact customer satisfaction and work on solutions to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage the flow of goods and materials by coordinating with customers, 3PLs, carriers, warehouses, and other stakeholders to streamline the supply chain process to meet KPIs and OKRs as agreed to with the client.
  • Transportation Management: Arrange transportation for shipments, considering factors such as cost, transit time, and mode of transport. Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and haulage companies to schedule pickups and deliveries as and when required.
  • Carrier Performance Management: Drive carrier and service provider performance for the Hub and Spoke locations.
  • Warehouse Operations: Responsible for transportation management of warehouse inbound and outbound activities, warehouse and trailer capacity management.
  • Data Analysis: Support the collection and interpretation of data, providing data analytics to improve the transportation operational efficiency of their assigned warehouse location.
  • Issue Resolution: Coordinate and collaborate with multiple parties, including customer stakeholders, warehouses, carriers, service providers, onsite team members, to resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for internal departments, external vendors, and customers regarding logistics-related inquiries. Communicate shipment status updates and address any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Liaison: Acts as a liaison between Google's warehouse vendor and carrier.
  • International Shipping: Support domestic and international shipments, as well as ensuring customer's partner carriers are aware of requirements for warehouse operations and any critical shipments needing attention.
  • Delivery Monitoring: Monitor inbound and outbound deliveries ensuring it reaches destination as requested.
  • Bottleneck Resolution: Proactively approach and resolve bottlenecks in the shipping and receiving processes.
  • Carrier KPIs: Develop and monitor carrier KPIs and metrics for transportation analysis.
  • Corrective Actions: Identify and suggest corrective actions for ongoing delivery issues/opportunities and SOPs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience.
  • Experience: 2 plus years experience in supply chain, logistics, and/or transportation (preferred).
  • Logistics Software: Experience in logistics software and systems, such as ERP systems, transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • International Shipping: Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
  • Communication: Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
