Your Role:
Vision: Serve as the reliable partner for Siemens Legal Compliance Export Control and Siemens Customs department in Germany concerning relevant IT solutions, services, projects, and platforms.
Mission: Deliver business-specific, mission-critical IT solutions, services, and platforms for export control and customs operations by overseeing the respective services and projects. A primary focus is to enhance and promote the digitalization of export control and customs processes through an end-to-end optimization strategy that generates tangible value for the business.
Key Responsibilities: As a Digitalization Specialist for Export Control and Customs, you will oversee the provided services, solutions, and platforms and develop the corresponding portfolio, which also encompasses related projects in this domain. You will be tasked with advancing the digitalization of export control and customs processes to optimize them end-to-end. You are expected to contribute to the SHERPA X process design and harmonization (a business transformation initiative within Siemens aimed at standardizing all end-to-end processes with the new SAP S/4HANA environment). You will be responsible for the design and implementation of export control and customs processes. You will act as a key contact and trusted partner for governance departments in Germany concerning tax, customs, and export control, as well as for business entities and regions worldwide. Utilize your expertise to drive progress. You possess a university degree in business administration, computer science, or physics. You have extensive experience and a solid background in end-to-end export control and customs processes. You also have knowledge in adjacent areas (e.g., logistics, finance). Excellent understanding of process and data flows, including the underlying data models and sources relevant for tax, customs, and export control (e.g., SAP S/4HANA modules FI, SD, MM). Strong analytical skills and the ability to design current and future-proof solutions with SHERPA X. A robust background in digitalization (e.g., automation, AI, deriving value from data). Well-established experience in requirements engineering, solution design, and implementation, coupled with a strong customer-centric approach. Extensive project and service management experience grounded in an agile mindset and methodology. Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of German is advantageous.
