DuPont Water Solutions (DWS) is a $1.4 B water technology leader, focused on solving global challenges in water purification, conservation, and reuse.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Ion Exchange Application Specialist to join our Technical Service and Development Team in EMEA. This is a technical position that requires you to work in the water solutions business to actively promote specific technologies and applications, with focus on Microelectronics, Energy/Power.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Becoming a subject matter expert on ion exchange resins to position DWS's products, providing technical guidance and consultation to internal teams and external clients to ensure efficient and effective system designs, adequate operation and offer guidance during troubleshooting and resolution of operational issues.
- Working closely with customers and extending technical support by way of selecting appropriate products, running models & optimizing design in cost-effective manner. Offering post-sales support for select projects as necessary.
- Identifying & tapping opportunities for innovation product / solution offering. Ensuring documentation of the opportunities and related customer interactions.
- Working on new product development by taking lab / field trials to generate & validate product performance data. Striving for scientific innovation to bring competitive edge and capture value where appropriate.
- Joint visits with account managers to key brand owners / customers / OEMs / consultants for promotion of products & solutions.
- Developing jointly with commercial and marketing engagement programs (action plans) for priority markets to increase business visibility and positioning as technology partner.
- Developing and delivering technical presentations and workshops and customer seminars as needed. Providing training and technical support to customers on the systems operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ion exchange resins handling.
- Presenting technical proposals and solutions and/or alternative to customers and addressing their queries and concerns.
- Conducting feasibility studies, analyzing water quality data, and recommending appropriate technology, equipment, and operating conditions to achieve desired treatment outcomes.
- Compiling and updating product documentation material like case histories and customer success cases.
- Understanding global business / regional strategies for respective businesses verticals. Sharing information on local business conditions, market dynamics, and competitive scenario with the team; and participating in formulating business strategies with regional marketing / business heads. Executing strategies in sync with the sales & marketing teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred (but not mandatory).
- Languages: English: highly proficient in both spoken and written + local language skills.
- 10 years of experience in technical functions, such as Technical Sales, Technical Service or Project Management in water treatment.
- Relevant technical experience with Ion Exchange Resins theory, and its practical application in water treatment. Familiarity with water quality parameters, such as pH, conductivity, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, and contaminants commonly found in various water sources.
- Implementing industry best practices of work & personal safety, performing a variety of pilot tests. Knowledgeable about standard methods.
- Readiness to attend business trips, up to 25% of the time.
- Customer-centric attitude and capability to build up customer relationship and trust.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong in digital technology and data analysis.
- Good interpersonal skills and capability to work in a multinational environment.
