Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ion Exchange Application Specialist to join our Technical Service and Development Team in EMEA.
This is a technical position that requires you to work closely with customers, promoting specific technologies and applications, with a focus on Microelectronics and Energy/Power.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of ion exchange resins and their applications in water treatment.
Customer SupportProvide technical guidance and consultation to internal teams and external clients to ensure efficient and effective system designs, operation, and troubleshooting.
Product PromotionWork closely with customers to select appropriate products, run models, and optimize design in a cost-effective manner.
Post-Sales SupportOffer post-sales support for select projects as necessary.
Product DevelopmentIdentify and tap opportunities for innovation product/solution offerings, ensuring documentation of opportunities and related customer interactions.
Joint VisitsJointly visit with account managers to key brand owners/customers/OEMs/consultants for promotion of products and solutions.
Technical PresentationsDevelop and deliver technical presentations and workshops, as well as customer seminars, to provide training and technical support on system operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ion exchange resins handling.
Feasibility StudiesConduct feasibility studies, analyze water quality data, and recommend appropriate technology, equipment, and operating conditions to achieve desired treatment outcomes.
DocumentationCompile and update product documentation material, such as case histories and customer success cases.
Business StrategiesUnderstand global business/ regional strategies for respective businesses verticals, share information on local business conditions, market dynamics, and competitive scenario with the team, and participate in formulating business strategies with regional marketing/business heads.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred (but not mandatory).
- Languages: English: highly proficient in both spoken and written + local language skills.
- 10 years of experience in technical functions, such as Technical Sales, Technical Service, or Project Management in water treatment.
- Relevant technical experience with Ion Exchange Resins theory, and its practical application in water treatment. Familiarity with water quality parameters, such as pH, conductivity, TDS, hardness, alkalinity, and contaminants commonly found in various water sources.
- Implement industry best practices of work & personal safety, performing a variety of pilot tests. Knowledgeable about standard methods.
- Readiness to attend business trips, up to 25% of the time.
- Customer-centric attitude and capability to build up customer relationship and trust.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Strong in digital technology and data analysis.
- Good interpersonal skills and capability to work in a multinational environment.
