About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Japanese to German video game translator to join our team in our Localization Department in Málaga, Spain. As a video game translator, you will be responsible for localizing games to the highest quality standards, ensuring that the translated content meets the requirements of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in temporary in-house AAA game translation projects
  • Translate Japanese content into German, ensuring accuracy and quality
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines
  • Follow established processes and project instructions
  • Take ownership of each phase in the project life cycle
  • Support and help other team members as needed
Requirements
  • Japanese working proficiency
  • Excellent native language skills
  • University degree in Translation
  • 2+ years of full-time translation/editing experience in the games industry or 5+ years of full-time translation/editing experience in a similar field
  • Capacity to work in a multicultural, dynamic, and deadline-driven office environment
  • Ability to follow instructions, checklists, and glossaries
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, proactive, and positive can-do attitude
  • IT literacy: Microsoft Office suite and CAT tool
