About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Head of Business Unit GI & Vaccines at Takeda. As a key member of our Iberia Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading our dedicated teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences, exceed customer expectations, and drive performance with innovative sales and digital marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership Responsibility for Sales & Marketing Team: Develop and lead a high-performing sales and marketing team, ensuring customer-centricity and prioritizing patient outcomes.
  • Financial & Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies in cooperation with cross-functional teams, driving revenue and profit growth.
  • Sales Force Planning and Management: Build and manage a sales force that delivers exceptional results, setting Sales Force Effectiveness standards and monitoring achievements.
  • Project Management & Cross-Functional Cooperation: Collaborate with Medical and Value & Access functions to develop and implement innovative commercial programs.
  • Customer Activities: Develop and maintain professional relationships with key customers, KOLs, and scientific societies, identifying new opportunities to meet customer needs.
  • Administration, Monitoring, and Controlling: Monitor budget, resource allocation, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Country Collaboration: Share best practices and customer insights among Takeda teams, representing the BU in regional and global meetings.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: University Degree qualification, fluent written and spoken English and Spanish, and at least 10 years of resources leading and management in equivalent roles.
  • Skills: Proven track record of understanding customers' needs and able to translate their needs into highly impactful tactics and solutions, business acumen and ability to manage a P&L, and strong expectation on competitive marketing strategies.
