Job Overview

Reporting to the Area Manager, this position is accountable for the efficient and profitable management of sales and business operations within designated territories and client accounts. The primary objective is to drive continuous sales growth while achieving specific profitability benchmarks by promoting the complete range of products and services tailored to the assigned customer sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate expertise to ensure sustained sales growth and meet profitability goals by marketing the entire product portfolio within the designated customer sectors.
  • Collaborate with the local service team to establish, agree upon, and execute service initiatives for all clients in the territory.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times while pursuing company objectives.
  • Ensure that the profitability of each customer account aligns with the profitability strategy, typically based on the Standard Margin achieving the set targets.
  • Provide progress reports to the Area Managers within the established timelines.
  • Maintain a profitable retention of the designated customer territory against established profit targets.
  • Develop and maintain a sales and growth strategy, including an opportunities pipeline within the territory to meet defined sales and profitability objectives.
  • Sales growth and profitability targets will be assigned based on the sales strategy.
  • Plan and execute a pricing strategy across the customer territory, coordinating with National Account and Corporate Account Managers as necessary.
  • Deliver sales forecasts, upgrades, and other specified data to the Area Manager within the agreed timelines.
  • Foster customer relationship initiatives.
  • Implement the company’s Legionella policy for clients with systems classified as “At Risk” under existing EHS policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all site and EHS policies at customer locations.
  • Uphold the Ethics Charter and other relevant policies while nurturing and developing customer relationships.
  • Organize and participate in customer review meetings.
  • Develop and implement Value Generation Plans at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with the Field Sales Development Team, Engineering Sales Team, or Corporate Account Managers for any internal customer sales opportunities requiring specific sales support.
  • Create a coordinated transition plan with the Field Sales Development Team, Chemfeed Team, or Corporate Account Managers to integrate new business into the customer territory.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical, Environmental, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in Account Management or sales within a water treatment company or industrial facility.
  • Valid driving license is required.
