Position Overview

As a Junior Field Service Technician at HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our power transformer systems. This position involves a variety of service-related tasks that are essential for maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair activities on medium and large power transformers.
  • Anticipate and understand customer needs to consistently exceed their expectations.
  • Utilize analytical skills to address complex technical challenges effectively.
  • Interpret and work from electrical and mechanical schematics, technical manuals, and instructions.
  • Employ computer systems and software for data entry and processing related to service operations.
  • Conduct internal tasks such as bushing connections, lead clearance, and crimping.
  • Propose enhancements to products and processes to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to ensure all site work meets regulatory standards.
  • Embody HITACHI ENERGY's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while supporting colleagues and the organization.
  • Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and repair of equipment as instructed, using appropriate mechanical tools.
  • Engage in departmental administrative duties and follow established scheduling procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing technical training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports following service visits.
  • With guidance, operate and maintain Vacuum Oil Processors (VOPs) and related oil handling equipment, ensuring accurate processing logs.
  • Develop a solid understanding of transformer operation and construction principles.
