Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Field Service Technician to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out service installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work on medium and large power transformers.
Key Responsibilities- Service Installation and Commissioning: Carry out service installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair work on medium and large power transformers.
- Customer Focus: Exceed customer expectations by understanding and anticipating current and potential needs.
- Technical Expertise: Use a great deal of analytical skills and make decisions on complex and technical issues.
- Documentation and Reporting: Perform tasks requiring the ability to read and work from applicable electrical and mechanical drawings, and/or instruction and technical manuals.
- Computer Skills: Use computers and internal/external computer software to set up functions, enter data or process information related to site visits.
- Internal Work: Perform applicable internal work such as bushing connections, lead clearance, tapping, crimping, taping, contoured joints, etc.
- Process Improvement: Suggest product and process improvements within the business to enhance operations and customer service.
- Safety and Integrity: Ensure all site work is performed to meet proper safety requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Repair, re-gasket, assemble and disassemble equipment as directed.
- Administrative Tasks: Participate in department administrative tasks.
- Training and Development: Participate in technical training.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare technical reports following site work.
- Equipment Operation: With direction, operate and maintain Vacuum Oil Processors (VOP's) and oil handling equipment.
- Transformer Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of the theory of operation and construction of transformers.
