Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Development Engineer to join our international Product organization, delivering best-in-class projects to our clients and partners. The position can be fully remote or hybrid, based in Spain or other locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coding and Development: As a Development Engineer, you will be responsible for coding problems in our business management application using high-technical system capabilities, working under the supervision of a Technical Leader or autonomously if required.
  • Development Services: You will provide development services to end clients/partners according to existing procedures, applying agile methodologies.
  • Technical Design and Development: You will participate in technical design, development, testing, and documentation of plug-ins, modules, or verticals requested by clients/partners.
  • Client Collaboration: You will work with internal business clients to understand their requirements and translate them into value-generating technical solutions.
  • Quality Assurance: You will test and roll-out new functionalities, ensuring quality.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work closely with other members of the development, product, and technology team.
  • Knowledge Management: You will properly manage any departmental knowledge, favoring the re-use of existing information.
  • Defect Resolution: You will resolve product defects detected by customers, community, and/or internal testers.
  • Support: You will help the support team when required.
Requirements
  • Education: BS or MS in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or Telecommunications.
  • Experience: Data Base Knowledge/experience, POS/Retail and/or business software applications related experience is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: From 1 to 3 years of experience in software development with the following technologies is a valuable plus:
    • Front-End development with Javascript, IndexedDB, React/Redux, etc...
    • Java Platform and/or all tiers of an enterprise web application.
    • SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
  • Language Skills: Good written and oral communication skills in English is a must. French is a strong plus.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical thinking & detail-oriented, proven ability to meet/exceed deadlines under pressure in a dynamic environment, initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Travel: Availability to travel as required for the success of the business.
