Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Director, Business Development to join our Global Publishing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving Scopely's distribution and growth strategy globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Key Relationships
Develop key relationships with top IP partners, new distribution platforms, and vendors in the gaming industry to support and grow the Scopely global business.
Articulate the Scopely VisionArticulate the Scopely vision and how we can most effectively partner together to drive audience and revenue growth for Scopely's portfolio of games.
Create and Execute a Global Business Development StrategyCreate and execute on a global business development strategy that connects to our overall distribution strategy and principles.
Source and Negotiate Large Complex PartnershipsSource and negotiate large complex partnerships that grow Scopely's overall consumer and commercial presence globally.
Partner with Internal TeamsPartner closely with internal teams to ensure the needs of the business are being met in a timely manner.
Industry Trends and AnalysisKeep tabs on industry trends by obsessively analyzing the market, playing all the new releases, and attending industry events and conferences.
Requirements
- Business Development Experience
8+ years of Business Development / Partnership experience within the digital entertainment industry.
Global Business Development StrategyExperience creating and executing a global business development strategy.
Negotiation and Partnership SkillsAbility to identify and negotiate large scale commercial agreements.
Gaming Industry KnowledgeGaming experience preferred, and particularly free-to-play games.
Communication and Presentation SkillsStrong presentation and communication skills - Keynote, Powerpoint, or Google Slides skills required.
EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent required.
