Job Title: Energy Storage Senior Developer

EDP Renewables is a global leader in the renewable energy sector, with a strong presence in 28 markets worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Energy Storage Senior Developer to join our team in Germany.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the company's BESS projects, from prospect to delivery, ensuring compliance with company strategies and guidelines.
  • Support the analysis of the German market for storage and coordinate business and technical actions for the development of storage business cases.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify suitable geographical locations for BESS projects and contribute to the achievement of business plan objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a network of high-level stakeholder contacts, including local communities, planning officers, and conservation bodies.
  • Understand competitors and the main participants in the energy business, propose strategies, and detect opportunities and risks to guarantee the company's competitive position.
  • Manage projects from identification/confirmation of opportunities to transfer to Construction and Asset Management Team, following company processes and tools.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a technical field, with extensive renewables development experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in solar or onshore wind development, either developer or consultancy background.
  • Experience in BESS projects, standalone/co-located or solar/onshore wind in Germany.
  • Fluent German and English, with Spanish spoken and written a plus.
  • Autonomous, adaptable, and multi-skilled, with strong problem-solving ability and teamwork skills.
