Job Title: Senior Wind Project Developer

EDP Renewables Germany GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Wind Project Developer to join our team in northern Germany. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new wind energy projects, negotiating land leases, and representing the company with local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Explore new wind energy project opportunities through targeted research and collaboration with internal teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, local authorities, and other stakeholders
  • Qualify projects for integration into EDP's development process
  • Secure land through lease negotiations and agreements
  • Represent EDP at local events, conferences, and meetings
Requirements:
  • At least 8-12 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on wind development in the DACH region
  • Strong origination skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across cultural boundaries
  • 2-3 years of experience in wind development, project management, and community engagement
  • Greenfield development experience, combined with technical knowledge of the wind sector
  • Hands-on approach, problem-solving skills, and a passion for renewable energy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with landowners, C-level executives, and other stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BImSch Regulations, EEG, KraftNAV, and BESS knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools
  • Fluency in German and English, with additional languages (Spanish) a plus
