Senior Wind Project Developer

EDP Renewables, a global leader in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Wind Project Developer to join our team in northern Germany.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a talented professional to take a lead in the promotion of future wind plants, in accordance with our company guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the business from opportunity identification to contracting with owners and supporting communities involved, while liaising with internal EDP departments and resources.
Main Responsibilities- Explore new and relevant sites through targeted research or GIS Team results, collaborating with public and private actors.
- Develop and maintain a network of land scouts and originators in Germany.
- Qualify projects for integration into the EDP development process.
- Secure land through negotiation and signing of promises of lease.
- Represent the company with local public or private actors, state services, and communities to introduce EDP and make projects socially viable.
- Initiate environmental permitting procedures, including licensed planning offices and expanding internal resources based on future requirements.
We are seeking a candidate with a strong academic background and relevant experience in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a School of Management or University Degree, or an apprenticeship in the specific sector with a Degree from the Chamber of Commerce. Additional academic credentials are a plus.
