Team and Role Overview
The Customer Delivery team is expanding rapidly due to an increase in client acquisitions and demands. We are in search of a Technical Consultant with pertinent experience in the capital markets or within a financial software organization. You will collaborate with a team of consultants responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting solutions for clients. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of client solutions.
Typical Responsibilities of a Technical Consultant
Manage outstanding items (Jira) Conduct meetings with clients (Requirements gathering, support, demonstrations, training, etc.) Design and implement solutions: Configuration and customization (Custom Code, Messaging, and reporting templates) Foster people development: eLearning, documentation, presentations, certification. Define and enhance best practicesKey Responsibilities
The technical consultant will typically follow up with users to validate the implementation, secure signoff, and facilitate the transition to go-live. Engage directly with customers during the implementation of our system. Serve as a liaison between Customer Delivery and Research & Development as well as the Calypso Cloud Team. Collaborate with the customer project team to implement the system and assist in fulfilling their users' requirements. Support developers in comprehending the API necessary to extend the system, integrate data, and create interfaces between our and external systems. Educate users and customer developers on the fundamental use of the system, particularly regarding the technical setup. Oversee system installation, including Java JRE download and installation, relational database setup, data model installation and upgrade scripts, configuration of the event-driven framework, and setup of real-time market data feeds. Work directly with the system, configuring it and ensuring it meets the technical specifications of the customer. Collaborate with business analysts, core development, or customer development to prototype enhancements that meet business needs.Desired Qualifications
Over 5 years of experience in systems or technical analysis, ideally within the capital markets sector, with proficiency in software such as Java, REST API, RMI, J2EE, Spring Boot, Docker, and containers. Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate proactivity, and engage in self-directed learning through our eLearning platform. Strong self-management, time management, and follow-up skills for daily tasks. Excellent skills in object-oriented analysis, design, and development. Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and/or Oracle. Experience in designing and building comprehensive capital markets trading systems is particularly advantageous. Establish yourself as a reference point within the Customer Delivery Organization through your work. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential, as this role involves significant hands-on interaction with customers, where patience is key to success. Proficiency in business-level English is required. Willingness and ability to travel frequently, if necessary.Commitment to Diversity
