Team and Role Overview

The Customer Delivery team is experiencing rapid growth due to an increase in client acquisitions and demands. We are looking for a Technical Consultant with relevant experience in capital markets or financial software. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting solutions for our clients. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of client solutions.

Typical Responsibilities of a Technical Consultant

  • Monitor outstanding tasks (using project management tools)
  • Engage in meetings with clients (to gather requirements, provide support, conduct demonstrations, and offer training)
  • Design and implement solutions: Configuration and customization (including custom coding, messaging, and reporting templates)
  • Facilitate people development through eLearning, documentation, presentations, and certification programs.
  • Define and enhance best practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up with users to test implementations, secure sign-off, and advance the system towards go-live.
  • Engage directly with customers during system implementation.
  • Serve as a liaison between Customer Delivery and Research & Development as well as the Calypso Cloud Team.
  • Collaborate with customer project teams to implement system requirements.
  • Assist developers in understanding APIs necessary for system extensions, data integration, and interface development.
  • Provide training to users and customer developers on the system's technical setup.
  • Oversee system installation, including Java JRE, relational database setup, data model installation, and configuration of the event-driven framework.
  • Work hands-on with the system to ensure it meets technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and developers to prototype enhancements that meet business needs.

What We Value

  • Over 5 years of experience in systems or technical analysis, ideally within the capital markets sector, with proficiency in Java, REST API, RMI, J2EE, Spring Boot, Docker, and containerization.
  • Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate proactivity, and self-train using our eLearning platform.
  • Strong self-management and time management skills, with a focus on task follow-up.
  • Excellent skills in object-oriented analysis, design, and development.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and/or Oracle.
  • Experience in designing and building comprehensive capital markets trading systems is highly valuable.
  • Establish yourself as a reference point within the Customer Delivery Organization through your work.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, as this role involves extensive customer education and training, requiring patience and understanding.
  • Business-level proficiency in English is essential.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently as required.
