Position Overview
The Global Risk Technical Support team is in search of a Senior Technical Support Engineer to deliver expert assistance for enterprise-grade SAS business software applications and solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of software functionalities, features, and the interplay between various applications and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized technical support for clients utilizing or troubleshooting enterprise-level multi-tier software applications, including those in cloud environments.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with clients and SAS experts throughout the problem resolution process. Ensure accurate documentation within the case management system throughout the case lifecycle.
- Manage expectations and project pressures for both internal and external stakeholders, including coordinating problem escalation activities as necessary.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of SAS products and relevant technical and business domains. Utilize expertise to interpret documentation, recommend suitable software features, and troubleshoot complex issues across multiple SAS system areas.
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model for new team members.
Required Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of SAS products and their applications or related specialized products.
- Skills in risk and financial management.
- Comprehensive technical support experience, from initial contact to resolution.

Work Environment
This position is available for candidates eligible to work in SAS EMEA offices.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Financial Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software development, testing, consulting, or supporting complex software applications.
- Experience with SAS applications is advantageous.
- Familiarity with implementing risk solutions is preferred.
