Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Solutions Architect to join our team at BASF's Agricultural Solutions department Digital Factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and orchestrating the IT solution process, working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, and creating clear and comprehensive documentation of solution designs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and orchestrate the IT solution process in various phases of solution design development to ensure smooth execution and compliance with current security and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into solution designs.
  • Create clear and comprehensive documentation of solution designs, including architecture diagrams and integration descriptions, and present them to the Architecture Board.
  • Select appropriate technology stacks and platforms based on governance policies of Enterprise Architecture to maintain consistency in the system landscape of the Agricultural Solutions department.
  • Regularly validate governance policies against requirements and collaborate with AP Enterprise Architecture if adjustments are necessary.
  • Continuously review existing solution designs to identify risks and vulnerabilities and provide suggestions for mitigation.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to product teams and IT Delivery Leads throughout the entire product lifecycle to implement solutions within product timelines and budgets.
  • Stay updated on changes in governance policies, as well as new technology offerings in the market and their relevance to our environment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or further education in IT/Digitalization.
  • Experience in at least two comparable positions.
  • Leadership experience within agile organizations.
  • Project experience.
  • Work experience within Digital teams and jobs.
  • IT feasibility study.
  • IT Infrastructure/system landscape.
  • Process management and improvement.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Technologies in own operational area.
  • Communication skills, advanced English.
  • Strong understanding of web security practices and performance measurement.
  • System integration, standard applications, consulting methods, moderation, project management, and change management.

Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of IT solutions design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct requirement analyses by gathering, analyzing, and translating business needs into technical solution designs.
