Lead Casualty Claims Consultant

As a Lead Claims Consultant, you will be an integral part of the Casualty Claims division at AXA Group, overseeing the establishment, examination, negotiation, and resolution of all designated claims. Your role will focus on delivering exceptional customer service while achieving effective outcomes in a manner that is both cost-efficient and profitable.

You will collaborate closely with your supervisor and fellow Claims Consultants to drive cases towards resolution, formulating and executing case strategies while engaging with Underwriting and Operations teams. Together, your objective will be to secure the most favorable results for AXA Group and its clientele by proactively managing and settling claims.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Expert claims management: conducting thorough investigations on all assigned claims and identifying potential recoveries while adhering to established time and budget constraints.
  • Maintaining accountability for all assigned claims until a resolution or closure is achieved.
  • Proactively overseeing your claims portfolio to prevent delays in the handling process, providing timely and accurate claims status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Securing appropriate authorization for settlements that exceed personal or file authorization limits.
  • Ensuring that customer service requirements are met for each claim, facilitating fair and timely payouts.
  • Keeping precise records of all relevant activities related to claims in our systems, ensuring compliance with claims procedures and documentation standards.
  • Building relationships and liaising with internal departments within AXA Group to support underwriting and sales processes.
  • Contributing to and promoting a collaborative team environment.

This position reports to the Casualty Claims Team Leader.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law.
  • Several years of experience in managing casualty claims (specialized knowledge in handling claims from other lines of business is an advantage).
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities, complemented by a robust work ethic.
  • Customer-centric approach: prioritize the customer in all decisions and actions, understanding and anticipating their needs and behaviors.
  • Digital proficiency: adept at utilizing digital tools and media to enhance work processes and communication.
  • Flexibility and innovation in responding to a dynamic environment.
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage your workload.
  • Ability to align actions with AXA Group's Core Values and Culture.
