About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Manager to join our dynamic team at Squire Patton Boggs in Madrid. As a key member of our global HR team, you will be responsible for delivering day-to-day HR support services to our busy office, while also supporting our global administrative chiefs, regional directors, and managers with operations matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of HR support services to the Madrid office, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Support the global administrative chiefs, regional directors, and managers with operations matters, including premises, IT, finance, and business development.
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals with staff and oversee the recruitment process for the Madrid office.
  • Implement a recruitment strategy for graduate hires and facilitate administrative and regulatory aspects of employee departures, changes, secondments, leave of absence, and transfers.
  • Oversee local office accounting and billing functions, ensuring compliance with Spanish regulatory and tax requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of five years' experience in a HR management role, ideally within an international law firm environment. You will also have proven team management experience, including supervisory, coaching, and performance management skills. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as a high service ethic and 'can do' approach.
