We aspire for all airlines, car rental agencies, rail operators, and connectivity partners to consider us as their primary choice for innovation and genuine collaboration. This is where your expertise will play a pivotal role.
As the Head of Supplier Relations, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of five across Europe and the United States, serving as our brand advocates within the industry. You will work closely with our Product and Technology teams to harmonize revenue optimization with delivering maximum value to our travelers.
Reporting directly to the VP of Supplier Relations, you will have the visibility and autonomy necessary to implement meaningful changes. The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of success in formulating and executing inventory strategies and will be well-versed in GDSs, NDC travel connectivity, and supplier partnerships across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Development: Formulate and implement a partnership and connectivity strategy that ensures optimal coverage, pricing, and inclusions for TravelPerk clients.
- Partnership Management: Establish and oversee relationships with suppliers and connectivity partners to secure the best commercial terms and performance metrics.
- Industry Representation: Act as a representative for TravelPerk at industry events, enhancing brand visibility and value recognition.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform strategy and connectivity management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside product and sales teams to identify and prioritize opportunities for inventory enhancement.
- Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing team with a focus on continuous feedback, mentoring, coaching, and training.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and implement KPIs to assess team performance.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in travel distribution or in leading strategic business areas with relevant stakeholder management responsibilities. Key qualifications include:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, particularly in the e-commerce or travel sectors.
- Expertise in strategic prospecting, buyer-seller agreements, communication, qualification, questioning, closing techniques, and relationship management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate the connections between broader business objectives and inventory goals to all stakeholders.
- Experience in travel pricing, revenue management, or other strategic roles is advantageous.
