The Opportunity

The Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the sales process by processing reservations, confirming services, and issuing travel documents. This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to provide excellent customer service and ensure seamless travel experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to all company personnel and clients
  • Accurately process requests and confirmations for hotels, transfers, sightseeing, and cars while adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Assist managers and reservation staff with customer service emails, research, follow-up, and calls
  • Make independent decisions with customers and coworkers while maintaining our customer service standards and financial profitability
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the manager about procedures and problems and offer suggestions for resolutions
  • Respond promptly to all co-workers and customers, following through with resolution
  • Process email correspondence
  • Conduct quality control of final documentation sent to clients
  • Participate in the emergency duty rotation, which includes being on-call as needed, while adhering to our emergency duty operational standards
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
Requirements:
  • Experience in the travel industry is a requirement
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Minimum education requires a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and ability to multi-task
  • Courteous and professional telephone manner
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, including MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook
  • Proficiency in Amadeus and Rail Europe ERA system a plus
  • Proven track record to work under pressure and meet deadlines
