Job Summary

The position offered will be part of the RAN innovation team within the Global Access area of the Chief Technology Office (GCTIO) of Telefónica.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analysis of new technical enablers in 6G
  • Analysis of new capabilities in RAN related to different 3GPP releases and O-RAN specifications
  • Participation in European and national research projects, such as those of the SNS and UNICO I+D programs

Requirements

  • Telecommunications Engineer, with RAN expertise, with more 2-3 years of experience working on radio access networks design and evolution
  • Master Degree mandatory

  • Project management capabilities
  • Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment
  • Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills
  • Capability to understand business requirements and convert into technological requirements
  • Capability to interact with providers and integrators to run evaluation processes
  • Capability to identify and resolve problems
  • Capability to communicate at different levels (directors, engineers,...) to disseminate architecture propositions

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge in the area of RAN network
  • Knowledge of 5G and 5G Advanced
  • Capability to understand network architectures and protocols
  • Programming experience, Python in particular

Experience

  • 2-3 years + experience in RAN Access network

Language

  • Advanced English language is mandatory
