Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team at Biogen Idec. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts and agreements for the Iberia Cluster, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements with external stakeholders, including vendors, suppliers, and partners.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Legal, Compliance, and Finance, to ensure seamless contract management processes.
- Develop and implement contract management strategies to minimize risks and maximize business opportunities.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters, including contract interpretation and compliance.
- Monitor and follow up on framework agreements, ensuring timely renewal, extension, or close-out.
- Collaborate with the Legal function to provide support on Iberia Cluster legal matters, contracts, and general corporate and pharmaceutical law.
- Support the Compliance function on Iberia Cluster compliance and governance risk, including sales, marketing, and distribution, as well as medical affairs activities.
- Collaborate with the Finance function on procurement processes, vendors, and other related activities.
- Lead data privacy activities in the Iberia Cluster, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited institution.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; preferred fluent in Portuguese.
- 6+ years of experience as an attorney, either in a law firm or in-house.
- Strong experience in contracts, with a focus on contract management and negotiation.
