Biogen Idec is seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team in the Iberia Cluster. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for managing contracts and agreements with external stakeholders, providing guidance to all functions on contract-related matters, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, review, and negotiate agreements with external stakeholders, including clinical trial, healthcare-related agreements, commercial agreements, vendor and supplier agreements, and CDA.
- Coordinate with assistants and other Biogen affiliate and international teams in the contract management process.
- Collaborate with Legal Corporate function for contract local needs analysis, contract template creation, modification, and approval, including master agreements.
- Own contracts and addendums database, keeping them up to date.
- Communicate with vendors and/or service providers as necessary to resolve contract issues.
- Act as a first point of contact for inquiries on contracts for commercial functions within the affiliate and provide guidance on contract and addendum.
- Monitor and follow up on framework agreements signed and their renewal/extension/close-out.
- Creation and delivery of trainings to managers and all employees on contract management.
- Support Corporate Administration activities, including clinical trials, legal, compliance, finance, and data privacy.
- Law degree.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; preferred fluent in Portuguese.
- 6+ years of experience as an attorney (law firm or in-house).
- Strong experience in contracts.
- International experience a plus.
- Experience/knowledge in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Life Science sector and/or regulated environments/compliance related to FCPA.
- Organizational skills and management of different teams.
- Results-oriented, with a high level of autonomy.
